The picture of crime presented to the American public is, in reality, just the opposite with respect to the cultures involved and with respect to who is doing the most criminal activities. According to the United States Commission on Civil Disorders, Whites who often complain the most about crime are criminals themselves. Over 91% of a random sample of such Whites admitted committing fraud, consumer cheating, embezzlement, petty theft, and price-fixing – thereby accounting for several times as much lost property as crimes of robbery or theft attributed to Black American criminals. The Commission also concluded that the vicious cycles of struggling Black Americans have been created by Whites. To be denied good jobs is to be stuck with low income. Financial survival is obviously a priority over education and prevents victims from gaining the good education required for obtaining good jobs. History written by honorable people clearly shows pre-colonial Africans had a brilliant civilization and culture. However, certain African survivals have not “fit” with the contrary system of values of EuroAmericans. Furthermore, the slaves resistance behaviors, once culturally transmitted into today’s society, have become self-defeating habits. These habits, operating inside brutal, illogical and irrational racism, account for many phenomena present in today’s struggling Black communities. Criminal unfairness has caused a disproportionate number of Black Males to be incarcerated and thus walled-off from mainstream American society. These aspects and how they continue to generate pervasive destructiveness in the Black community and throughout the USA are herein presented. |
